The national launch was planned through a travelling ‘roadshow’ to promote the benefits of QUICKEN’s new-version accounting software. To generate interest and ensure attendance the road show was designed to be a ‘debate’ with a rival accounting software tool – a head to head opportunity for accountants to see an unbiased view of these two products and discover the competitive edge that the QUICKEN software delivered. A direct mail invitation was sent to select accountants to attend this ‘live debate’ – a healthy response rate of up to 16% ensured the success of this topical and memorable event.
